Content and Organization for Itineraries (** Please read the instruction**)
Introduction to your trip which includes (0.5 page) (3pts): dates of your journey, international airports your will be flying in and out of for the initial arrival and departure of the trip, airline used, cost of airfare round-trip, the order of the countries you will be visiting, and the overall ‘theme’ of your trip.
Itineraries should be approximately 7 days in length (7pts): your travel to and from the destination should be included in that time
You need to include a brief description (1 paragraph for each day) of your day, the attractions you visit, and the activities you participate in.
You should not include restaurant, accommodation, or transportation information (transportation information is covered in the country profile).
Do not include specific times, but generally break down your activities by morning, afternoon, and evening. Some ‘excursions’ may be all-day events, these are fine; however, do not go over 1 day without providing details.
Formatting for the itinerary should be clean and organized!
Additional Instructions:
You must include at least 2 countries in the itinerary.
Your portfolio should be aesthetically pleasing, organized, and easy to follow. You are expected to follow the organization given in these instructions. Make sure you use page breaks where appropriate.
You do not need to arrive and depart from the same country.
Extra days – you can add extra days, but only add days to your trip if it logistically warrants it. Don’t add days just because you find it to be insulting to a country to only stay 3 days, for the purposes of this project, limit yourself.
Do not copy and paste information from the web. The country profiles should be formatted specifically as requested in these instructions. No pre-made itineraries should be used (this will constitute plagiarism). Feel free to look for existing itineraries for ideas, but you must then create your own.
All assignments should be written in a professional manner including grammar and organization.
Formatting (10pts deduction if not following guidelines)
Single-spaced except Pre-departure activities and Sustainable travel tips and why traveling sustainably is important
Font size 12 – Times New Roman
Page margins no more than 1 inch
The portfolio is organized and labeled per these instructions
The percentage of similarity from external resources should be under 15%, or subject to point deductions
