The general topic of your paper will be to discuss Florida’s two strikes law. This area of crime and criminal justice does not receive as much attention as it should. Please watch the following special called “Two Strikes.” Also known as PRR ( `Prison Release Reoffender).
Please address the following issues related to this special:
If the two strikes law is unjust, should there be a separate trail with a separate jury to just hear the issue of whether the sentence should be imposed, this is called a bifurcated system that is used in death penalty cases.
Is a three-year time period sufficient for a parolee to be on the right path, yes or no.
Although there are critics of the law, please cite to examples where this law has had a positive effect.
Is “in prison” gang membership a contributing factor?
Should two strikes only be applied t crimes where there are human victims?
