Peer Support Programs
Assume the role of a police supervisor of a midsize Texas police department. You begin to notice one of your officers starts to show signs of mental distress. The officer, who was once upbeat, seems to sulk around the department, calls in sick routinely, and mentioned that he/she is having serious problems at home. You want to help, but you’re unsure of the best way to do it.
You’ve heard of peer support-type programs such as in the YouTube video about Dallas and want to start one in your department. 
Instructions: Complete a memo to your agency head advocating for the creation of a peer support program. See the attached template.
