Drawing upon the ideas about “accounting for extraordinary events”,
discussed on this module, answer the following questions, citing relevant
academic literature and providing examples from business/management/government
practice:
1)      What is an extraordinary event? What is its nature? Why is it complex to
govern an extraordinary event?
2)      What does to mean to govern an extraordinary event? What are the
complexities of “govern-ing” an extraordinary event such as Pandemic?
3)     
How is Accounting for Pandemic
involved in govern-ing Covid-19? What was the role played by Accounting for
Pandemic?
General Guidelines
·       Introduction – should
introduce the main topic and the main points to be covered, should provide a
summary of the findings and should set out the format of the rest of the essay.
·       Body – Discussion of
the main issues/arguments from the introduction. These should be set out in a logical order, building up the ‘story’ being told. 
Each paragraph should have one idea with supporting information. Explain
your points clearly, don’t assume your reader has prior knowledge of the topic.
·       Include examples where appropriate.
·      
Conclusion – should be a
summary of what was discussed in the essay with any conclusion reached e.g.
good/bad, for/against, etc.  The
conclusions should NOT include any new information – if it is relevant put it in the body
of the essay.
·       Put ideas from journal articles, etc.
in your own words – do not copy and paste!
