Your paper will follow this structure:
Introduce the problem in an introductory paragraph.  The thesis statement is the last sentence in the introductory paragraph.
Opponent – Write objectively and educate the reader about the opposing viewpoints of your issue/topic.
Proponent – Write objectively and explain your reasons for supporting the issue/topic.
Common Ground – Write objective about what can be agreed upon with the various viewpoints. Write a resolution that uses information from various viewpoints to reach a compromise on the issue/topic. 
Conclude by reminding your audience of the balanced perspective you have presented and make it clear how both sides benefit when they meet in the middle.
