Your analysis should provide an overview of the relevant law and context surrounding the issue, as well as explore the nuances of the law, such as its application in different situations. Essentially, you are creating a research project that explores the legal framework surrounding the topic you have chosen. It is recommended that you choose a topic that is not already covered in this course and one that you find engaging. You must use credible sources for your research (no blogs, sub-Reddits, Wikipedia, etc.), and AT LEAST SEVEN OF YOUR REFERENCES MUST BE SCHOLARLY ARTICLES AND/OR COURT OPINIONS (and three court opinions are mandatory). A scholarly article is what is typically used for an academic paper or report. These can be found using scholar.google.com. Each of your court opinions should represent a different legal case. You will use your research to compose a 8-10 page paper (typed, 12-point font, double-spaced, one-inch margins).
