You will be responsible for individually preparing a career exploration assignment to illustrate a personal and professional understanding of your future career path(s) in selected sport organizations and industry segment(s). You will research and analyze two possible internship/entry level opportunities in a field of your choice within the sport industry based on what you have learned in this course.  
You are expected to utilize industry-specific job platforms (e.g., teamworkonline, NCAA Job Market, WorkinSports, D1Ticker, etc.) to identify a relevant internship or entry-level position in the sport industry. The position may be directly with a sport team or league, but you should also include at least one position with a sport management agency such as IMG, Octagon, Learfield, Wasserman, Global Golf Management, The Marketing Arm, Intersport, CAA, Navigate Marketing, among many others. Alternatively, you may select a position with a community-based nonprofit or public sport organization if such organizations align better with your own career goals. The purpose of this assignment is for you to explore different potential career paths in the sport industry and familiarize yourself with alternative ways to work in professional sport, college sport, or another segment of the sport industry. 
This assignment requires a written response of at least four full pages (double-spaced) in length. The job descriptions are NOT included in the four-page minimum. Your written reflection may exceed 4 pages, but should not be longer than six pages. You should use APA citations and references, when appropriate. For your written reflection paper, you will need to provide the following: 
Write a career vision statement 
Where do you see yourself in two years? Five? Ten years after graduation? 
Job description of a desired ENTRY-LEVEL position or internship with a traditional sport organization (e.g., team, league) in the sport management industry and a desired ENTRY-LEVEL position or internship with a sport management agency (see suggested search platforms discussed above); 
One-page critical reflection on each of the two selected positions, which should include 
3 reasons for selecting the position 
3 perceived strengths you currently bring to the position (identify specific skills required for the position and describe a time when you used your skill) 
3 perceived weaknesses that may preclude you from obtaining the position; 
Three short-term and three long-term goals aimed at achieving your desired positions. 
Brief explanation of how the two positions fit into your ultimate career goal.
