You must use either Bluebook or APA formatting for your written assignments and it is expected that both direct and indirect references receive citations in text and in a references section.
The requirements for Written Case Brief #1 and Written Case Brief #2 are as follows: 
No less than 1,500 words and no more than 2,000 words.
12 point font size.
Times New Roman font.
One-inch margins.
Double spaced.
Do not include a cover sheet. Simply put your name (and word count) in a header in the upper right hand corner of the first page.
The case selected must: (i) be an American case; (ii) pertain to sport law; and (iii) not be covered extensively in any class lecture or supplement.
The case briefs must include the following sections (a “model” case brief will be posted on the online course portal): (i) title and citation; (ii) facts; (iii) issue(s); (iv) decision(s); (v) reasoning; (vi) separate opinions (if applicable); and (vii) analysis.
