Write an essay on one of the following prompts of your choice:
A) Explain how English motives of colonization varied between the Chesapeake and New England and how that influenced the focus and temperament of the colony?
B) How did English colonists respond to the “Colonial Dilemma?” Explore the role of labor and the transition from indentured servitude to chattel slavery in the Chesapeake. 
[IMPORTANT] Formatting guidelines: See Internet Course Tutorial section title Module Assignment. Essays will be graded upon criteria outlined in the Internet Course Tutorial.
Essays should be roughly 500-800 words (2-page minimum). Ultimately, the essay will at the minimum contain an introductory paragraph, 3-5 minimum body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Essays will need to integrate a minimum of three supportive sources from the Module. 
Once students have finalized their module assignments, they should submit their responses to this thread. Ideally, you will copy and paste your essay over. Sometimes students have a problem with the formatting of the essay’s pasting over neatly. Add it as a file if you have problems with formatting using copy and paste. Do both to be safe.  
After a 30-minute period, students will be given access to other students’ work. 
Select a student’s work who has not yet received a comment on their paper to ensure equal distribution of feedback.
