Exercise: Writing Around the Edges
Write a short fictional piece (500 words max) focused on a single character without mentioning their name or any pronouns (he, she, him, her, they, them).
Give them dialogue and specific actions but focus on movements, intentions, and outcomes with the parts of the body doing the actions, not the character.
You can add another character that is conveyed normally with specific reference to their name. This might even add a nice contrast.
