For this assignment, you will write a research paper by developing your own case study on Eric Rudolph, the right-wing Atlanta Olympics bomber in 1996 and address the following five subject areas:  1. What was the individual’s grievance or cause?
2. How was the individual or most group members recruited or drawn to the cause? 3. What was the process of radicalization? 4. Which model discussed in this course most closely followed your case and why? (Borum’s Pathway, Moghaddam’s Staircase, NYPD Radicalization Process, or Sageman’s Four Prong Model) 5. What was the result of the extremism and how did the case end?  Technical Requirements: Your paper must be at a minimum of 4 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit). Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content. Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space.
Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework. Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic-type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.
