This essay is the last part of a research project, a conference report. It has 4 parts: abstract (which I already have it), introduction, literature review and conclusion.
I already have everything ready for this report, so you just need to organize them, paraphrase some parts and make sure that it has everything that’s asked in the rubric.
Make sure to use apa in-text citation and include all the citations that I got from different parts.
The research question is:
What are the major challenges that Muslim newcomers may experience in Canada? What strategies can we use to deal with those problems?
Abstract:
I already have the abstract, you only need to add that we need to see this issue from government and community side, and propose different strategies for each.
Introduction:
a. Introduces and explains what your report is about? social integration of Muslim newcomers in Canada
b. Provides a hook that would grab the reader’s attention (Provides definitions of key concepts, gives an example, describes a problem and provides valid statistics, and so on.); –> so for this, mention that after 9/11 terrorist attack in US which was done by a muslim terrorist, Muslim faced increasing ethno-cultural challenges and hate crimes.
c. Provides general background that synthesizes key sources and explains the importance/relevance of your topic; and d. Narrows down to your research question and thesis statement
Literature review:
so you can use 3 resources that I have used in my annotated bibliography (attached) and abstract (attached), (there would be more than 3 resources in total, but choose only 3 of them) / use 1 paragraph for each source or if you decided to write more than one, each new paragraph should begin with a topic sentence that expresses the main idea of this paragraph followed by the explanation and supporting examples from your sources and ends with a concluding/transition sentence.
–> so please make sure that each paragraph has a topic sentence and a conclusion sentence at the end.
(in annotated bibliography file, you’d probably find 2 government and news sources useless, so you can only use the article source which is included in the abstract as well, then you can use the resource “American Friends Service Committee. (n.d.). 5 things your congregation can do to stop Islamophobia. https://www.afsc.org/5-things-your-congregation-can-do-to-stop- islamophobia” which is in the ppt file for the community strategies, and one more source that you find it useful )
so, in the conclusion, you should clearly answer these 2 questions based on the ppt sides that I attach (we address this issue from 2 sides, community and government. / then you answer based on the bullet points in the last slide of ppt.)
