A definition of an assumption is something (an assertion) that is taken for granted and is also logically relevant to an argument’s conclusion. Reflect on your reasoning within the last couple of days. Think of a couple (at least two) conclusions that you drew, and explicitly write down what assumptions were relevant to your conclusions. Were your assumptions true, or were they questionable? Why is it better to draw conclusions based on true assumptions?  You are stating your assumptions and not the reasons (the premises) for your conclusion.
