help is needed. This is a research argument (something like a strong argumentative essay) for an upper-level writing class in a university that requires strong academic writing. 
The
research argument has been written. However, the problem with this research
argument is that it lacks the writer’s argument. It, unfortunately, turned out
to be something like a report, but it should be otherwise, containing a strong
high-stakes argument that will compel the reader to read and keep reading, and
raising the stakes of the argument throughout the research – it should stem
from the writer. You should use the present tense, active voice.
The title
of this research argument is: “Should America Export its Values? A Nuanced
Perspective on Democracy Promotion in the Middle East.”
Your task
is to rewrite and clearly articulate the writer’s argument, as well as improve
the whole paper. You should use smooth transitions and show how the source
supports the writer’s claim each time. Also, after citing a source, you should
argue something (the writer). Also, work on the whole research argument paper,
correcting the citations, where necessary, so that they align with the MLA
style, using page numbers when citing authors in-text, and correcting the Works
Cited page so that it aligns with the MLA style.
Most
importantly, signal phrases should be utilized. Also, use words like: according
to… and other similar when citing someone.
Sources
used in the research argument should be kept, but again, they have to be put
together smoothly, interestingly, and professionally, with the writer arguing
something as well. Additional sources can be added as well.
The
research argument should turn out to be very strong academic writing (research argument).
