To best understand how these artists impact and imprint American culture, compare and contrast one of them to (1) another artist from our class, (2) a different genre or period of production by the same artist, or (3) a contemporary artist.( I will give you a list of artists and you should pick TWO to talk about in your essay) The research paper should be at least 10-12 pages and incorporate academic sources (a combination of journals and academic monographs). Your research paper must include a thesis, and it will be graded on organization, inclusion of academic texts, and grammar.
