II. Instructions:
This is the fifth step of the artifact research project.
List at least seven reliable and relevant sources for your artifact paper using a proper bibliography citation style (You may use an APA, MLA, Chicago/Turabian style citation to cite the source). Among seven sources, you must include at least two academic sources and two sources from the following book and museums: Gardner’s Art Through the Ages (12th edition in Course Reserve in Canvas), The British Museum (http://www.britishmuseum.org/Links to an external site.), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (https://www.metmuseum.org/Links to an external site.), and The Walters Art Museum (https://thewalters.org/Links to an external site.).
*Please see the tips to write a good annotated bibliography from UBalt’s writing center, http://library.ubalt.edu/academic-success/uploads/documents/annotated-bibliography.pdfLinks to an external site.
After you properly cite the source, add an annotation for each source by answering the following guidelines:
In the first paragraph, introduce the source by identifying the author (and his/her credentials), summarizing his/her topic and main argument, and listing the key evidence (s)he used. In the second paragraph, evaluate the source by answering the following questions.
Why did you pick this article/book?
How does it relate to your artifact?
How helpful is it?
Does it present a broad overview or focus on one specific issue/example?
What did you wish the author discussed more but not elaborated on in this article?
In your writing, distinguish clearly between your words and the author’s.
