Behavioral health impacts the health care delivery system as 20% of the population globally have a diagnosis of a mental or behavioral health condition. The focus of this assignment is not on a specific diagnosis but rather the health condition’s impact on the system. The financing for behavioral health care services is different than with physical health and has higher burden of disease related to premature mortality (DALY).
