This assignment will be short (two pages in length, single-space, Times New Roman, 12-point
font) and follows the guidelines listed below:
1. You will be assigned media (a documentary, podcast, or news article) that reflects the
contemporary political landscape. Heres the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8TSDbLr7_s
2. Then you will connect that topic to your understanding of politics based on what you
have learned in this class. 
3. Finally, your ideas found in the media are assigned to the political process and how it affects you and your community. 
This assignment will require students to complete the following tasks:
1. Explain the theory or framework that is at the center of the media that is assigned. 
2. Evaluate how the media assigned relates to topics and theories learned during the course.
3. Reflect on the political processes at work and take a position on what can be done to
ameliorate the issue(s).
