Make sure you watch the videos on secondary research (you can actually play these at 1.5x speed to make them go quicker!). 
Read the following biographical information about retired tennis star Billie Jean King:
Billie Jean King’s husband Larry co-founded World Team Tennis in 1973 with Dennis Murphy, Jordan Kaiser, and Fred Barman and WTT began in 1974. The couple used their savings to put on a team tennis event at the Oakland Coliseum. King remained involved with World Team Tennis for decades, eventually sharing ownership with her ex-husband, her life partner Ilana Kloss, and USTA. In 2017, King sold her majority ownership stake of the league to Mark Ein and Fred Luddy. WTT was based on her philosophy for gender equality and it had been running continuously for over 40 years.
In 1999, King was elected to serve on the board of directors of Philip Morris Incorporated, garnering some criticism from anti-tobacco groups.Links to an external site. She no longer serves in that capacity.
As of 2012 King was involved in the Women’s Sports Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.Links to an external site. She also served on the President’s Council for Fitness, Sports and Nutrition as a way to encourage young people to stay active.
In 2008, King published the book Pressure is a Privilege: Lessons I’ve Learned from Life and the Battle of the Sexes.
Your job is to collect further information for this section. Conduct research on the following:
King’s founding of the WTT in 1973 (find two articles that discuss the impact and influence of WTT on the sport of tennis
King’s election to the Board of Philip Morris (find an article that specifically criticize her involvement, or contains a quote that does)
King’s involvement with one of the following: Women’s Sports Foundation, Elton John AIDS Foundation, or President’s Council for Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition (find an article with a quote by her or others about that work and what it involved)
King’s book Pressure is a Privilege (find two reviews or articles about the book)
Conduct this research through Academic Search Premiere or U.S. Major Dailies (or another Buxton Library database). Do not use Google or other Wikipedia pages for this activity.
