The purpose of this course’s term paper is to write a Literature Review on a Chemical Oceanography topic that interests you.
The review paper must be 5 pages long, single spaced, 12-point font, not including figures or references.
You must create at least one original figure for your paper and cite it properly in the text of your paper. Figures from the literature cannot be used in your paper, as that is plagiarism.

The citation style should follow AGU guidelines (see Canvas for specific details and resources), and I recommend the use of a referencing software such as EndNote to ensure proper citation style for both the in-text citations and the references at the end of the paper. You must use at least 8 references from peer reviewed literature. Direct quotations are not allowed.  Instead, paraphrasing and parenthetical references are required throughout. This is the norm in the field of oceanography.
