The minimum length is 1,250 words. Gather three quotations from the text (either Black Boy or The Sane Society, your choice). Your paper should include three parts: a THESIS that answers the dual question: what is the author saying/how is the author saying it? Then the BODY of the paper provides evidence to support your thesis– here, please use three quotations from the text to establish the pattern of the author’s intention. Your CONCLUSION, the third and last part of the paper, should synthesize or bring together your original promise/thesis statement to interpret the author’s intention and the evidence that you provided in the body of your paper.
