The fourth and final paper for this course provides an opportunity to explore your personal qualities as a leader. Refer back to Paper #1 where you detailed your desired leadership role.
Now that you have read Reframing Academic Leadership, think about your leadership role and how the issues discussed in the text relate to that role.
Refer back to the sources you used for your first paper and then find additional sources to fully embrace the role. Compose a 3-5 page paper that details how you plan to be a successful leader. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that you are aware of the challenges faced by leaders and that you are prepared to face those challenges.
Some topics to consider for inclusion in your paper: 
Opportunities and Challenges commonly faced in this position
How will you handle those?
The importance of ensuring that your theory in use aligns with your espoused theory?
How do you plan to respect and listen to faculty and staff at all levels within the institution?  
Who will be your biggest critics? Why is it important to listen to them?
What are some ways you will promote transparency on your campus?
How will you manage conflict?
Who reports to you – how will you ensure you listen to them effectively and see things from their perspective?
How will you address bullies within your department?
Why is it important to really know your boss?
How will you ensure your mental and physical health remains a personal priority?
