The Argumentative Speech is incorporates critical thinking skills in developing your opinion. It is important for you to realize that this speech relies upon evidence to support your point – not simply using persuasive language and creative ideas.
You may take a persuasive position on the the topic you delivered for your informative speech.   In this speech OUTLINE, you will advocate that the class take a certain position related to an issue – basically, you will take a side on an issue and develop a solution in which and can be resolved.  The resolution can be of your own creation or you and explain why a previously or current solution is on that must be followed.  
Remember, you are to have a great awareness for both sides of a given issue. The other point of view must be present and refuted (or state concessions). At the end of the speech, you must reinforce your thesis.
Your speech OUTLINE must also have a quote, a narrative, and a statistic.
The speech will be four to six minutes.  It will also need a visual aid. (Visual aids will be discussed after spring break.)
You must use three distinct sources in your speech.  As always, we are using MLA citations.
My topic is: “To Persuade my classmates that the lack of diversity within schools is an ongoing issue that requires our attention.”  You will need to make sure you discuss “the problem” and Then provide a true “solution”.
