Students will write an essay applying sociological theories to the study of a specific social issue. Select a social issue and analyze it from two different theoretical perspectives. When writing a research paper, it is important to communicate your findings without plagiarizing. It is also important to reflect on your findings through your writing.
For this assignment, I chose access to education. More specifically, access to sex education, which I like to refer to as sexuality education. I can also provide some background information regarding this. The gist is to find two theories you would like to use to analyze the social issue (access to sex education or the lack thereof) selected.
I will include an introduction to the topic of sexuality education. Also, a textbook for reference to some sociological theories.
