Review the transcultural critical needs list you created in Unit 1 and read over your responses. Reflect on your growth in this course. Please provide a one to two-page, double spaced, reflective journal addressing each of these criteria:
1. How has your view of transcultural nursing changed?
2. In what ways will you approach the patients you care for differently?
3. What critical needs areas could you now mark as satisfactory or proficient?
4. What critical needs areas will you continue to focus?
Note: It is not expected that you will have achieved proficiency in all areas of transcultural nursing. Continuous cultural competence is important. As long as you are aware of your critical needs areas and dedicated to personal and professional growth, you are in the right spot.
