Research Paper Assignment and Guidelines
You are required to take a position on an issue and write an argumentative research essay.  In order to do so effectively, you should thoroughly research the issue and familiarize yourself with arguments on all sides of the issue. You may find that approaching this paper as a problem analysis works best. In any case, here are the components of this final unit:
1. MLA Quiz
2. Annotated Bibliography
3. Thesis and outline
4. Rough Draft
5. Conference with me
6. Final Draft
• Your final essay should be approximately 1500 words and adhere to MLA guidelines.
• Your essay must include in-text citations and a works cited page.
• Your works cited page must include at least 6 sources, and at least 4 of those sources must not be internet sources (School’s database sources will not be considered internet sources).
