Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to measure your ability to analyze a real organization’s need for change and apply OD concepts and principles (need for change, impact on individuals, groups, and organization, renewing processes) to that need for change.
Overview
In this course, you will research a needed change in a real organization. This can be an organization in which you currently work or volunteer, one in which you worked in the past, or with an organization with which you are very familiar. This and following assignments will prompt you to think critically about the needed change and what worked well to move the organization forward, and what did not work which contributed to the change not accomplishing what was intended. You will post a brief description of your findings and receive feedback from your professor and colleagues in the course. This feedback should help you reflect upon the change and contribute to your final paper.

In this course you will research a needed change in a real organization to apply what you are learning about organization development. Post a 150- to 200-word summary that describes:
The organization you will be researching
The change effort you propose or which is occurring/has occurred which is not successful
Why you think the change effort is not succeeding (cultural resistance, under-resourced, employee resistance, poor management or leadership, etc.)
