PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
You will create a PowerPoint presentation correlating your pedagogical stance to components of
a curriculum evaluation professional development plan for your school or organization. You will
highlight what you have learned in this course and create a professional development
presentation to help your colleagues improve their curriculum. Frame the presentation toward
your intended audience, whether teachers, administration, district, or another population.
Through this presentation, you will summarize your perspective on curriculum evaluation and
support your claims by pointing out where educators commonly fall short or require
improvement in the curriculum process. Justify each element of your curriculum evaluation
process, its correlation to your beliefs, and evidence of developmentally appropriate practice
based on scholarly sources.
For this Professional Development Plan Assignment, choose three topics covered in your
Curriculum Evaluation Paper Assignment (excluding the Personal Reflection and sections
required below). Then, design a presentation that both describes and defends each chosen area of
the curriculum evaluation process. You must also integrate a biblical worldview into and
throughout your professional development plan.
Your PowerPoint should include the following sections (of no more than two slides each):

 Importance of Curriculum Evaluation
 Chosen Topic 1
 Chosen Topic 2
 Chosen Topic 3
 Application of Curriculum Evaluation
This presentation should be between 10–12 slides. Slides should be creative and engaging,
demonstrating scholarly writing. Include at least six scholarly supporting sources in addition to at
least two references to Scripture. Review proper APA formatting for citations and references.
