Police Use of Force – Online Video Presentations
Each student is required to create a 10 minute (maximum) voice narrated
video presentation using PowerPoint (or any other similar software/method).I am
challenging the class to create a presentation that will inform about a police use of
force incident. Each student is to present a unique case; I do not want duplicate cases
presented.
The presentation should focus on all known facts of the case. Each student
should try and research what legal action(s) where taken in the case and are
encourage to briefly describe their opinion on the case and what ethical dilemmas or
issues are in play. Students may use PowerPoint or any other type of technology to
present (Youtube, Vimeo, etc). Full points will be given to presentations where it
is apparent the student spent time and made considerable effort investigating
and presenting the case. I will create a blog on Canvas where each student will
briefly mention the case they will present on. Please look at previous postings to
ensure we have no duplicate cases.
