basis of your work. Also, refer to past material, especially those providing feedback on the previous writer’s work, to understand what is being asked of you. Due to this work being a rewrite, I would appreciate you asking questions
where you are not sure rather than assuming. I cannot stress the importance of
a speedy turnaround as this work is very close to due. Depending on the quality
of work you will produce, I will want to assign additional work (more
chapters for the same dissertation) to you as a writer so that there is
consistency in the finished work. 
Of particular note, the previous writer’s work was very light on references, and there are a lot of claims made in the writeup but not backed up with credible sources. Can you please make sure that there are as many
sources as possible whilst maintaining balance of authenticity of work. Put simply,
sources need to increase without diluting originality
