Instructions:
This is where you will submit the outline, or plan for the main points and supporting points of your research paper. You should have an outline for your paper before you begin writing the rough draft, and use the outline to guide you as you write the rough draft. Please upload your research paper outline as a .doc, .docx, or .rtf file.
Your outline for your research paper should show what ideas you will include in your paper to support your thesis and in what order they will be given. Be sure that your outline does the following:
• Shows what reasons or examples will be discussed in each paragraph of your research paper
• Labels each point with specific wording; do not label points simply as “body paragraph” or “supporting point,” but give a short phrase or sentence that expresses the main topic of that section of the paper
• Includes at least one counterargument and refutation, showing the specific argument against your thesis and how you will refute it
• Follows alphanumeric format,, with Roman numerals for main points and capital letters for sub-points
• Gives you a helpful plan to follow as you write your rough draft
