1. Describe a major health outcome or risk factor that is characterized as a health disparity. Use at least 2 relevant stratifiers (defined in the lecture) in your description. Include and interpret one figure or graph or other visual to enhance communication of your health disparity.
Guidance for data visualizations:
- The visualization (table, figure, etc) is clear and easily interpretable.
- The visualization is interpreted in the text.
- The visualization is clearly labeled, and the table/figure number is referenced in the text where it is being interpreted.
- The visualization is cited if from another source.
2. Analyze how your health disparity is caused by the social and political context and / or globalization using logic and evidence. Think broadly. Discussing poverty alone is not enough. Poverty has many social causes, think social, environmental, structural, etc. Please see the assigned websites in the module for data should you need it.
