Directions: Letter #4
A member of the clerical pool in your law office will be typing a letter for your
signature regarding an enclosed transcript of Ms. Brown’s deposition. Tell her to
carefully review it noting anything that was incorrectly transcribed, but advising
her that she cannot rewrite her testimony. Any inaccurate transcriptions should be
written on a separate sheet of paper. She can, however, correct spelling and names
of places, and/or any substantive information concerning her actual testimony. On
her sheet of paper should note the page number and the line in the enclosed
transcript where corrections should be made. The page number(s) and Line(s) were
there are mistakes will be re-typed and discussed before submitting them to the
court reporter. It is imperative that these corrections be received by the court
reporter within 30 days, or the chance to make corrections to the record will be
forfeited, so time is of the essence. We will need any corrections by
December______, 2019. However, if she finds that there are serious discrepancies,
she should contact you (the Paralegal) immediately. There has been enclosed along
with the transcript, a pre-paid postage envelope for any corrections made.
A copy of this letter is to be sent to Stuart Jenkins.
