In
preparation for your response, please review various sources to include, but
not limited to, demographic data, incarcerated juveniles’ statistics and
alternatives suggested by juvenile advocacy groups. After you’ve gathered your
research information, conduct an analysis of your findings and make
recommendations for programs that are alternatives to juvenile incarceration
and/or suggest successful prevention of juvenile crime. While preparing your
response, think creatively but ensure you relate your response back to ideology
deemed successful by previous studies and advocacy groups. Additionally, please
include how your suggestions compare to the textbook’s recommended programs
and/or what you have found highlighted in other sources.
