Identify a natural or man-made disaster within the definition of disaster or emergency developed to date in this course. The disaster or emergency must be a large-scale event that occurred anywhere in the world within the past three years. The event may include a terrorist attack. Locate an after-action report or thorough news report on the event and write a two-to-four-page critique of the government’s response to the event. Identify the strengths and weaknesses with respect to the government or country’s efforts at planning, prevention, mitigation, response, and recovery. What recommendations would you provide for improvement in the areas of planning and management?
