Investigate the use of mobile health (mHealth) technologies to improve patient outcomes: mHealth technologies, such as mobile apps and wearables, have the potential to improve patient engagement and self-management of chronic conditions.
The use of mHealth technologies is particularly important for the improvement of the health of marginalized populations. This is because marginalized populations tend to be in poor neighborhoods or rural areas where Internet connectivity is not good or not available, and they tend not to have a PC, but 93% (Pew Research Center) have a smartphone.
