I included my intial draft with instructor comments and feedback that should be worked in. Additionally, attached is the annotated bibliography with links to the sources, as well as a research outline, and a rubric and decription of the assignment. i am aiming for the paper to be 10-12 pages.
my research argument (that is not explicity in the draft but should be incorporated into the final product): In this paper, I will examine the policies and structural regimes that will effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions specifically in Russia and Ukraine. As can be demonstrated with Ukraine, there is a seemingly a direct correlation between countries who emit the least amount of carbon per capita and those who have sophisticated cap-and-trade systems in place. Therefore I will guide this paper to recommend that Russia, as one of the global leaders in carbon dioxide emissions per capita, implement clear emission reduction goals, efficient and flexible cap-and-trade system such as those in Ukraine, and supporting sector-specific regulations and subsidy regimes akin to Ukraine’s feed-in-tariff in order to ultimately reduce the country’s carbon emissions while working towards global carbon reduction goals.
