GUIDELINES FOR VICTIMOLOGY BRIEFING
Topic: Victimology Briefing
Length: Victim Assessment plus not less than 3 pages of Victimology Briefing, and citing of sources (excluded from the 3 pages of Victimology Assessment)
Grading Criteria: Use the following information.  Grammar and spelling will be checked and will count in grade.
The Victimology Assessment form can be found in the Getting Started module in Canvas.  The criminal investigative analysis steps will be:
Identify a victim of a crime that you can interview.  Examples:  Home burglary, robbery, assault, vehicle theft, identify theft, credit card fraud, etc.  The offense should be a felony crime.  It is in your best interest to NOT choose a family member.
Complete the Victimology Assessment form.  THE VICTIM CAN BE ANONYMOUS.
Use the four Victimologist’s Steps in section 1-5d (Chapter 1), “How to Structure a Victimological  Investigation”  in your course content in Mindtap to write a victimologist analysis briefing.  ALL FOUR (4) STEPS ARE NECESSARY PARTS IN YOUR BRIEFING.The following is a synopsis of the steps, but you must read the book carefully to get a more in depth idea of what is required.
