On October 31, 2000, Resolution 1325 to an external site. was passed unanimously by the UN security council following decades of lobbying by women’s rights activists. It was the first security council resolution that addressed the specific impact of war on women and girls.
After reading chapter 29 and the link on “The United States and the U.N. Security,” answer the following questions:
