Grand Challenges of Social Work Presentation
Instructions
Each student will present on one of the 12 Grand Challenges for Social Work.
You are allowed to select a topic. You will submit your selection to the professor by week 3 in Assignment 2.2.
Your presentation will:
Briefly summarize the Grand Challenge.
Connect the Grand Challenge to your social problem.
Connect the Grand Challenge to your scholarly literature.
Explain why this Grand Challenge is important for social work.
Explain how a social worker can impact change at the micro, mezzo, and macro level.
Identify factors that have contributed to this issue/challenge.
You will then lead the group in an interactive exercise designed to help the class better understand the Grand Challenge and its implications for social work.
In total, the presentation and exercise should last 20 minutes.
If you are in the online class, you will upload a 10-minute video presenting your PowerPoint and topic.
