highlight women’s representation or lack thereof in a country or region of the world. What
are the percentages of representation and the types of positions held? Use at least two
relevant arguments for increasing women’s political participation in that country or region
(i.e. justice). Also, discuss relevant cultural and procedural factors challenging women’s
political representation in your selected country or region. In addition to quotas, use
examples to discuss at least two strategies you would recommend expanding women’s
political participation in that area (i.e. educating and targeting women)? Be sure to discuss
the specific types of quotas and the pros and cons of the quotas, as well as, each of your
additional recommendations. Finally, conclude your essay with a discussion of Does it
Matter? Is change in your selected country or region necessary? Why or why not
