Research, collect and analyze media coverage that an organization received pertaining to a recent announcement they made. Exhibit the media coverage by including 5-10 distinct “clips”/articles/TV segments/Radio Interviews from credible media outlets.
Reference the following questions to develop your analysis:
What/who is this organization? What is the news? Do you consider it newsworthy?
Who do you believe was their target demo? Why?
What is their main message(s)?
Why do you think these specific media outlets covered/mentioned this news?
Is additional information available on the company website, blog, media newsroom? If yes, in what capacity?
Do you think this company/brand achieved their goals with this news coverage?
Do you believe this was a successful campaign/announcement? Why or why not?
Your project must include an official company press release or announcement/communications from their owned media platforms such as their website, Twitter page or blog (as some announcements may not always utilize a press release) that is related to this announcement/news.
Present your findings in a slide presentation (PPT/Google Slides/Prezi/etc) offering information and support regarding your analysis — not just pictures.
