Read chapter 35 of the textbook, the Differences between Universal Coverage & Single-Payer, and WHO Human Rights and Health. Then answer TWO of the following questions (re-state the question).
In the text book the author states: “Our best hope is to create a culture of prevention” (513). What is he referring to? How do we accomplish this?
Can economic growth reduce poverty? Why/why not? Give examples.
The present footprint is too large for our plant to preserve. What are the effects and implications? What action(s) if any, do we need to achieve in order to provide our human economy with the basics of a good life?
The 1964 WHO Constitution envisages: “The highest attainable standard of health as a fundamental right of every human being.” A clear set of legal obligations on states to provide proper conditions for the enjoyment of health for all people without discrimination. Is our right to health savored without discrimination? Please explain. The action should be designed precisely to improve the enjoyment of all people to the right to health. Can this be accomplished? Why/why not?
