DIRECTIONS: 
Prewriting: Choose one topic to brainstorm using an informal list or mind map. See the list of prompts/topics below.
Avoid Plagiarism:  Do not copy any ideas, sentences, or paragraphs from the Internet.
Use Evidence from Article:  Quote at least once from the article, using an in-text citation and a Works Cited page entry for each quote. You may quote several times. Article to use– Facial_Recognition_Technology Packet- file attached
Informal Outline: Develop an informal outline that includes your thesis sentence, your three main points/topic sentences for your three body paragraphs, and the three major details for each body paragraph.  You do not need to upload your outline. 
Draft: Type a five-paragraph rough draft that includes an introductory paragraph with a hook, background information, and your thesis statement. Each body paragraph will have a transition signal at the beginning, a topic sentence, 3 majors, 2 minors for each major, and a concluding sentence. Use transition signals to introduce your major and minor details as well as your topic sentence and summary sentence. Finish the essay with a concluding paragraph that begins with a transition signal and your thesis statement and ends with some general closing remarks about the topic.  You do not need to upload your rough draft. 
ARMS: Revise your paper, considering sentence variety, sensory writing, coherence, and word choices. Make your paper as interesting, clear, and understandable as possible.
CUPS: Edit your paper for grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling concerns. Be especially careful to correct any sentence errors such as fragments, comma splices, and run-ons.
TITLE: Give your final draft a title.
