Chapter Three of the textbook introduces us to Constitutional basics. Next week, we will be exploring the concept of federalism in depth. Review the basic definition of federalism from Chapter Three. Consider your own opinions regarding the distribution of power between states and the national government. Where would you like to see it concentrated? Have you noticed any change in your opinion or willingness to consider the opposing argument as the parties have “flipped” on this issue during the past or current administration? How would you define the difference between issues that should be decided nationally and those that should be left to the states?
