Assignment Directions:
Three pages of text that begins with your literature review, the hypotheses you will be testing based on that literature, a report on your results, and a brief conclusion. There is no problem if your essay goes a little longer than 3 pages. (2) A list of references, which should be in a format used by any academic political science journal (APSR, JOP, BJPS, or whatever). I don′t care whose format you use, just don′t make one up. And for published articles, list the name of the journal — not the name of the publisher of that journal. How many references do you need? At least two academic (from political science journals strongly preferred) plus some internet articles. Many of these (both academic and internet) are posted on Canvas — use them. And while it′s not required that you find additional sources on your own, it will be taken as a sign of initiative if you do. (3) At the very end, after the list of references, show any graphics or tables referred to in your text, labeled accordingly, e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2, Table 1, Table 2, and so on. DO NOT INCLUDE THESE IN THE BODY OF YOUR ESSAY. The text should simply refer me to whichever figure or table you′re referring to.
