As we enter into the world of culture, we learn about how culture influences our communication by first influencing our self-concept. Who we are is deeply connected what we have learned in our culture(s). Note, that we can belong to more than one culture. 
This paper is one way where we explore how culture influences our communication. Check out the guidelines below. This is a 3-4 page paper asking you to research a culture and its influences on interpersonal communication. You are asked to:
Choose one culture to focus on. You can choose your own culture or another one. Remember that culture does not only mean ethnicity. Culture can be expanded to include things like a car culture, the culture of a geographic region such as a Santa Cruz culture, a surf culture, etc.
Identify and explain 1-2 cultural values, beliefs, and traditions.
Then, analyze how those values, beliefs, and traditions shape the way people in that culture communicate verbally and nonverbally.
Bring in specific examples to illustrate your points.
Use at least 2 credible sources and make a connection to your textbook. That is a total of 3 sources.
