Approach and requirements
The three essay questions are deliberately open to allow you the freedom to shape your analysis
and demonstrate the ability to focus in on key issues you find most important or interesting. You
should not cover everything! You need to provide focused, in-depth analysis, not broad
description or simply listing issues.
This means there is no single ‘correct’ answer or way to respond, and each question can be
approached in a variety of ways. The key is that you provide in-depth, focused responses to the
questions and that you do this using evidence to support your arguments.
Use of supporting evidence is essential in an academic assignment to add authority and credibility
to your arguments and to illustrate your discussion.You do      this by referring to theories, concepts,

research findings and examples from academic literature and other credible sources to support or
illustrate the points you are making. This also enables you to show that you have studied the
recommended literature for the module and can use what you have read to construct reasoned
and well-evidenced arguments.
You should use a minimum of 15+ credible and relevant academic sources. It is a requirement
to use literature from the module reading list. 
Better evidenced essays may use more    academic sources, demonstrating further independent study.
