American beauty – movie
Each student will be responsible for presenting a Substance Abuse Case Study to the class. The case presentation can be based on a movie that is chosen by you. Please create and upload a PowerPoint to the VoiceThread link below these instructions on the main course page. You can then record your presentation directly inside VoiceThread. You will provide the following information in your Powerpoint presentation:
1    Case study/conceptualization based on a movie from the movie list.
2    Discuss the following:
a    General information on client: age, gender, educational background, social environment and so forth
b    Present symptoms
c    How long the symptoms have been present (if information is available)
d    Mental Health disorder and co-occurring disorder that you are able to establish with the information that is provided to you through the movie. Please identify the mental health disorder and the corresponding ICD-10 code.
e    Is client in treatment for mental health disorder or co-occurring disorder if present? If not, state what treatment strategies you would consider using with the client.
f    Discuss medication that you would consider using with the client and its indications/contraindications if applicable to mental health disorder and co-occurring disorder.
g    Assessments generally used in treatment with this diagnosis.
