Your system is currently only available in the U.S., and your sales have grown 25% over the last three years. You’ve just won your first contract with a home improvement tools company that operates globally, and they want you to deploy the system globally. With this expansion into global, you as head of the procurement team have to coordinate the procurement and deployment of the systems and related supplies through a newly created buying team dispersed in 10 different subsidiaries based across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
